Family tree and awamu present a showcase of beautiful, ethical, sustainable and eco products from women artist and crafters from across the world.
We've carefully curated products from our favourite female artisans and makers to highlight the diversity, ingenuity and creativity of women.
All products have been selected for their combination great design with a commitment to social change or environment. All have a inspiring stories behind them.
Our mini showcase will take place over two days - there will be opportunities to meet some of the makers, learn more about their craft and have a glass of warm mulled cider on 24th.
MEET THE MAKERS on 24th
there will be a opportunity to meet inspiring women makers on Sunday 24th.
1pm-Anna Maltz - co founder of Ricefield Collective, which is a social enterprise teaching women in Ifugao Philippine knitting, providing rural employment.
2pm-Here Today Here Tomorrow - boutique dedicated to ethical and sustainable fashion. They produce a collection of hand knitted accessories with The Association for the Craft Producers in Nepal.
3pm-Jo Waterhouse - Print maker based in London. She will show share her original artworks and lino, all things where her inspirations come from.
We will have special extended line to buy in store just for these two days - can you imagine a more relaxed or interesting way to start your Christmas shopping?!
